I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
